Israel Short of Wheat Because of '69 Drought TEL AVIV (ZINS) — Expecta- tions of a local wheat crop of 240,- 000 tons will not be realized this year, according to an announce- ment from Israel's ministry of ag- riculture. Although the wheat-growing area was considerably enlarged, last winter's drought had a serious ef- fect on the crop, which produced a harvest of only 120,000 tons.
