Community Fund Drive Under Way

Abe Krissoff, president and gen-
eral chairman of the Jewish Com-
munity Fund, has named Sam Kra-
vitz special gifts chairman in the

Panama, Israel Join
Forces in Art Exhibit
NEW YORK (JTA) — An exhi-
bition by Panamanian painter An-
driano .Herrarabarria opened last
week at the art gallery of the
Jewish Agency, under the aus-
pices of the United Nations dele-
gation of Panama and the Israel-
Ibero American Cultural Institute.
To continue through Nov. 7, the
exhibition is part of a cultural ex-
change program between Israel
and Latin America.
Since 1948, when the Latin-Am-
erican nations played an important
role in the creation of the state of
Israel, the Israel-Ibero American
Institute has been active in de-
veloping cultural exchange activi-
ties between Latin-America, Is-
raeli, Jewish and non-Jewish ar-
tists and intellectuals.

of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Kleiner
of Begole St., and Dr. Brian James
Back, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard
Beck of Knob Woods Dr., South-
field, were married at Cong. Beth
Israel Sunday evening.
Rabbi Hillel Millgram and Can-
tor Abraham Ranani officiated.
Following a reception and dinner
at the Country Squire Restaurant,
the couple left on a wedding trip
S to San Francisco and Lake Tahoe.
They will make their home in Flint.
Maid of honor was Rosalyn
Feiler of Cleveland, and brides-
maids were Mrs. Sheldon Hoot-
ner of Troy and Mrs. Mitchell
Back and junior bridesmaid
Marilyn Schafer.
Best man was Mitchell Beck, the
bridegroom's brother. Ushers were
Dr. Larry Plasker of Cleveland;
Dr. Peter Rheinstein of Baltimore;
Laurence Zatkin of Detroit; and
the bride's brothers, Joel Kleiner
of Oak Park and Steven Kleiner.
Also in the party were the bride's
grandmother, Mrs. Pauline Glancz
of Miami, and the bridegroom's
grandfather, Irving Kravis of
Southfield.
The bride wore a faille satin and
re-embroidered Alencon lace gown.
The high neckline was trimmed
with jewels, and the A-line 'silhou-
ette had an attached chapel train.
The headpiece was of matching
fabric with a bouffant, shoulder-
length veil.
