Primrose Benevolent Plans Donor Event
Alan Nathan, chairman of the
metropolitan division of the Jewish
Welfare Federation, announces that
the division's award meeting will
be held 10 a.m. Sunday at the
Jewish Center.
Citations will be presented honor-
ing the -individual worker and the
organizations of Metropolitan De-
troit who lent their time and ener-
gies in • the 1970 Allied Jewish
Campaign. Their efforts enabled
the metropolitan division to set a
record high achievement in monies
raised and contributors contacted.
Alan Nathan will be installed as
continuing chairman by Louis E.
Barden, the immediate past chair-
man of the division. The 1971
executive board will be comprised
of co-chairman, John Nemon; as-
sociate chairman, William Green-
berg; special gifts section chair-
man, Morris Asher, and co-chair-
man, Gert Freund; treasury gifts
section chairman, Morris Fried-
man; Telethon gifts section chair-
man, Morris Elkin. and co-chair-
man, Mrs. Julius Ring; Bnai Brith
representative, Samuel Greenberg.
Highlighting the meeting will be
the guest speaker, Max M. Shaye,
co-chairman of the 1971 Allied
Jewish Campaign Israel Emergency
Fund, recently a Detroit member
of the Prime Minister's Mission to
Israel. The topic will be "The Year
Ahead-1971."

`Born Yesterday' on Center Boards;
Theater Parties Being Encouraged

"Born Yesterday," starring TV
personality Carol Duvall, as well
as Frank Sisson, Ron Tolson and
Burton Wright, will be presented
Oct. 31, Nov. 1, 4, 5 and 7. John
Rogers, director, was associated
for many years with Vanguard
Theater and at Temple Beth El.
He has directed some 25 plays.
The second play of the season,
"The Odd Couple" by Neil Simon,
will be staged Feb. 13, 14, 17, 20
and 21, with the latter perform-
ance to be performed at 3 p.m.
