Labor Zionist Building Construction
to Begin; Completion Set for Next June

the Labor Zionist Institute an-
nounced that a contract for the
construction of a new building was
signed with De Mare Brothers.
Inc., Tuesday.
The new 15.700-square-foot build-
ing, designed by Morris A. Lifshay
and Associates. will be located on
Middlebelt Rd. between 12 and 13
Mile roads, Farmington Twp. It
will house Peale Zion, Farhand,
Pioneer Women, the Detroit Israel
Histadrut Campaign, and Ilabonim-
Labor Zionist Youth.
In addition, a school office and
classroom facilities will provide
space for the Combined Hebrew
Yiddish Cultural School. Several

meeting rooms, a large auditor-
ium, and kitchen facilities will be
available te member organiza-
tions.
Construction of the $400,000.00
building will start immediately,
and occupancy is planned for next
June.
During construction, temporary
offices for the Lahor Zionist Insti-
tute and Detroit Council of Poale
Zion—United Labor Zionist Organ-
ization of America. Pioneer Wom-
en, and the Detroit Israel Ilistadrut
Campaign will he at 12701 NV. to
Mile. Oak Park.
Temporary offices fur the Far-
band-Labor Zionist Order and
Habonim- Labor Zionist Youth will
be in the Workmen's Circle-Educa-
tional Center, 18340 W. Sevenlc.
