Greek Line Schedules
Nine Sailings to Israel

Nine sailings from New York
to Haifa have been scheduled from
April 6 through Jan. 4, 1971, by
the Greek Line, the only steam-
ship line providing regular serv-
ice between the United States and
Israel in 1970.
Eight sailings from New York
are slated this year aboard the
26,300-ton flagship Queen Anna
Maria and the modern 23,000-ton
Olympia will sail from New York
Jan. 4 next year.
New "express" service will
carry passengers to Haifa in as
little as 12 days or less on seven
voyages. Ports of call on these
express trips to Haifa include Lis-
bon and Piraeus. The other two
sailings, departing New York April
6 and Oct. 19, add calls at Boston,
the Azores, Malta and Cyprus.

Freshly prepared gourmet bas-
her cuisine from mashgiakh-
supervised kitchens is available
on request on all trans-atlantic
voyages. Both ships have syna-
gogues, and a rabbi will be
aboard all sailings.
A bonus for Israel-bound pas-

sengers is Hebrew language course
initiated three years ago.
Special excursion and group
fares will be offered on nine of
the voyages providing savings of

15 per cent as compared with

regular rates. Under the excur-
sion plan, passengers from New
York or Boston who debark in
Haifa may remain overseas for up
to 35 days before taking their re-
turn voyage. Party fares are ap-
plicable for groups of 15 or more
passengers sailing from the U.S.
who travel together on the same
eastbound and westbound voyages.
Both the Olympia and Queen
Anna Maria are modern luxury
liners built in the mid-1950s and
since renovated several times to
provide fine accommodations, pub-
lic rooms and recreational facili-
ties which include theaters, gym-
nasiums, swimming pools, night
clubs, card lounges and spacious
promenade and sports decks.
Both ships are stabilized and
fully air-conditioned, and both sail
on pleasure cruises to Bermuda,
the Caribbean and Mediterranean
in addition to their transatlantic
voyages.
For information and reserva-
tions, contact travel agents or De-
troit offices of the Greek Line.
