in Jewish Theology' for Lecture Series

Dr. Eugene Borowitz will speak
on "New Trends in Jewish Theol-
ogy" for the Judeo-Christian 'Lec-
ture Series 8 p.m. Wednesday at
Temple Israel.

and is being coordinated by the
school's principal, Israel Elpern.
Purpose of the seminar is to
acquaint parents with the origin,
purpose and meaning of Bar Mit-
zva as an observance and respon-
sibility within the framework of
Jewish living.
The next session 10 a.m. Sunday
will feature a talk by Rabbi Mil-
' ton Arm on "The Origin and Mean-
ing of Bar Mitzva."
On succeeding Sunday morn-
ings Rabbi Benjamin H. Gorre-
lick will speak on "The Concept
of Mitzva in Jewish Life," and
a special guest from Israel will
offer some observations and sug-
gestions on "Mitzvot Aliya for
the Bar Mitzva."
Rabbi Arm will guide the sem-
inar in "Bar Mitzva Practices"
March 1. The concluding session
will be held March 8, highlighted
by a panel discussion with a par-
ent, student and Elpern on "Mak-
ing the Bar Mitzva Meaningful."
Bernard Panush, chairman of the
Beth Achim education committee,
will serve as discussion moderator.
