could attain it, he would rather
wish to be able to hem a ruffle.
—Samuel Johnson.

Knowledge
All knowledge is of itself of some
value. There is nothing so minute
or inconsiderable, that I would not
rather know it than not. In the
same manner, all power, of what-
ever sort, is of itself desirable. A

to belting 'em out with gusto. . . .
I particularly liked the way she
motivated and handled the micro-
phone. . . Sandy's true profes-
sional styling did much in accom-
paniment of her varied vocal pres-
entations. . . . Detroiters at
Sandy's first show included Meyer
and Sophie Fishman, Bob and Au-
drey Roberts, Sid and Maxine
Bertin, Chuck Gershenson, Sally
Tobias, Ruth Gordon (celebrating
her birthday), Bob and Susan
Feinberg (also celebrating her
birthday), Dave and Bernice Miro,
Bernie and Marge Siegel, Harvey
and Jean Willens, Arthur Howard,
Katherine Roedeckr, Wilma Kirsh-
baum, Frank and Flora Winton
and Manny and Adelaide Harris.
. Also at the "Detroiter" ring-
side tables were Philomene IsarAt
and radio and TV personality Mary
Morgan. . . . Those who had to
leave after the first show- missed
a second show of great perform-
ance by Sandy!

THE FAMOUS DARBY food rep-
utation still follows Sam Boesky
and Bernie Kerner even as they
take over the Stanley Steamer
Health Club in Oak Park. . . . One
fellow almost cleaned them out of
hamburgers among other things
last week for a party down the
street. . . . Bernie said he had
nothing to wrap them in and the
guy made two trips with his own
boxes to carry them back with!
A new sign will say Darbys
Stanley Steamer . .. (Sorry gals,
its for men only.)

EVER HAD VERY thin crispy
pizza? . . . Its hard to make prop-
erly, but oh so very delicious when
done right! ... Tigra on W. Eight
Mile Rd. about a block E. of Lab-
ser, is the place to have this very
choice delicacy. .. . Ask for it this
way and you'll love it. . . Tigra
is now also making individual loafs
of home-made Italian bread .. .
ask for that, too!
= * *
NOTE TO . . . Jack Meyers and
Al Hacker at The Rascal House on
10 Mile and Southfield. . . . About
that big red English bus on your
parking lot all the time ... what's
it doing there?

*
ONE OF THE WAITRESSES at
the Rascal House, Del Forgione,
gives it a true international eating
flavor whenever she opens her
purse. .. . Out come candies from
all over the world!
