Detroit Symphony concert, an

ditorium.
The orchestra will be directed
by guest conductor Sergiu Comis-
siona, who has made appearances
throughout the world before lead-
ing symphony orchestras. You•4
- violinist Madeline Schatz will solo,
and Mischa Mischakoff, renowned
concert master will be honored
for his contributions to music.

ers. Ile assisted in numerous other
causes.
Mrs. Averbach had lived in Bnei
Brak for more than 15 years.
Rabbi Iloberman was born in
Horodno, near Stolin, Poland, in
1904, studied in the Stolin Beth
Aron vlsrael Yeshiva under its
(lean, Shlomo Slavin, continued his
studies at the Pinsk Yeshivat Etz
Joseph under Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi
Shmucl Weintraub and came to
Canada in 1929 on an affidavit
from his sister and brother-in-law.
Ile held several rabbinic posts in
Canada, where he held citizenship
during his residence, his last post
there before coming to Detroit
in 1935 having been in Welland.
He was married in 1935 to the
former Bertha Mudrick of Detroit,
daughter of the late Rubin Mud-
rick. From 1938 to 1950 he was
rabbi of Cong. Beth Itzchock, 3836
Fischer Ave.
