MORRIS GARVETT

Morris Garvett was re-elected
president of Sinai Hospital of De-
troit at Monday night's meeting of
the hospital's board of trustees.
Seven other officers were elected
or re-elected for one year terms.
Elected a vice president was
Milton M. Macklin, formerly assist-
ant secretary to the board, and
elected to succeed Maddin in that
position was hoard member Mal-
colm Lowenstein.
Re-elected were Charles N.
Agree. vice president: Leonard N.
Simons, vice president: Irwin I.
Cohn. secretary: Abe ShitIman.
treasurer: and Harry C. Schafer,
assistant treasurer.

The midwinter session of the
Jewish Community Council's Dele-
gate Assembly will convene 8:30
p.m. .tan. 7 at the Jewish Center.
Judge Lawrence OuboW, pres i-
dent of the Council, announced
that the program portion of the
assembly will examine - Dissent -
-from the viewpoint of its role
within the Jewish tradition and its
role on the political scene. Rabbi
Jacob Sega! and State Senator
Levin will he guest speakers.

Other matters on the assembly
agenda include a proposal for a
change in the Council constitu-
tion, dealing With ballot designa-
tions for nominees to Council of-
fice and positions on the executive
committee, and a. report on re-
cent activities by Council Execu-
tive Director Walter E. Klein.
Hostesses for the social hour
following the program are mem-
bers of Adas Shalom Sisterhood.

Young Adults to Hold
Sunday Morning Brunch

The Young Adult Planning Com-
mittee of the Jewish Center is
sponsoring a brunch 11 a.m. Dec.
28 at the Jewish Center.

The program is open to all young
adults age 18-30.
Registration will be accepted
through Wednesday. For informa-
