ROBERT J. RAFELSON POST
and AUXILIARY will hold a sum-
mer social 8 p.m. Tuesday at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Rose,

ing to Post Commander Sam Solo-
mon and President Mrs. Alvin
Stern, the evening will begin with a
swim hour at the Country Corners
swimming pool, after which re-
freshments will be served indoors.
This will be the final meeting for
the group prior to the national con-
vention in Los Angeles, Aug. 17-24.

ican Society of Oral Surgeons.

Book Couzens Opens New
Office in Northland Plaza

Book Couzens Travel Service this
week - moved to larger quarters at
1 Northland Plaza, Southfield.
When the agency came into exist-
ence in 1958, with Maurice Sell and
Charles Randolph purchasing the
then branch office of Book Travel,
the staff consisted of two girls. To-
day, with a professional staff of 12,
it is one of the largest travel agen-
cies in the Midwest with an annual
sales volume in excess of $2,000,-
000.

Carl Levin Campaign HQ
Turns to Art for Funds

The Carl Levin for Council head-
quatrers, 1539 E. Lafayette, has
been turned into an art gallery by

13 Detroit women. It will remain a
gallery through Election Day, and
commissions on paintings sold will
help to finance the Carl Levin cam-
paign.
The kickoff today will be a "Poli-
Art Champagne Preview" which
also will raise funds for Levin, 35-
year-old attorney who is seeking a
Common Council seat in his first
bid for public office.
