Twenty-six Wayne State Univer-
sity scientists were among the 62
Michigan researchers who began
work on Michigan Heart Associa-
tion financed research projects,
Dr. Edward W. Green, president of
the association, announced.
The projects, which ranged from
basic science to the effects of new
drugs, had one single characteris-
tic; they were all Concerned with
some aspect of the cause, treat-
ment and cure of the various cardi-
ovascular diseases, including heart
attack, stroke, and other diseases
usually caused by a failure in the
arteries and veins that carry blood
to all parts of the body.
