enriched the accumulating library '
of guide books devoted to Israel.
The editors of this volume, Z.
Soifer and A. Dean, together with
the publisher and an assisting staff
of experts, have turned this book
into an encyclopedic work concern-

At Kutsher's, you can stand in the
lobby and watch people in our pool,
on our lake, and golfing on our
18-hole course.

Kutsher's may be a paradise of hundreds of acres of meadows,
gardens and pine groves, but all our facilities are within moments
of your room. Which means after a day of swimming, swinging and
playing around, you won't have to call a taxi to get home. You'll be
home.
It also means if you do want to spend a day in the country, walk
few steps and you're there. Just give us 10 minutes, and we'll pack
you a picnic lunch. And when you're bored with the country, a feW
steps and you're back into the action world of Kutsher's.

P

Marvin Small, author of "The
World's Best Recipes," has com-
piled a most useful new book —
"The Special Diet Cook Book"—
which has been published by Haw-
thorn Books.
It is not a Jewish cook book, but
it has scores of items that provide
dietary advice for those who ob-
serve kashrut. -
A glowing tribute to Small's

coming colorful immigrants.

It has many special features,
and the one especially to be com-
mended is devoted to "Walks"—
to many of the notably attractive
sectors.
Beautifully and instructively il-
lustrated, this volume is replete
with data, is filled with facts and
figures, and a tourist who is ac-
companied by this volume on a
visit to Israel will return a well in-
formed traveler.
Bazak's is as much a gazeteer
and a history as it is a guide. and
geographically its comprehensive
details serve valuably in directing
the tourist to the spots one must
not overlook when visiting Israel.
More than a score of maps
assist the tourist. and the advice
on various services available in
Israel is well offered. Information
about postal and telegraph serv-
ices. the languages in use in Is-
rael, the entertainments, hotels,
restaurants — all are practically
handled and excellently devised as
guiding elements for tourism that
is so vital to Israel and to world
Jewry.

In 26 years Allen Green will be a successful doctor. And
he, along with many thousands of his colleagues, often take
time from their busy schedules to vacation at Grossinger's.
Our group of youthful patrons also includes budding
barristers and real estate tycoons. And a few dentists who
still hide a tooth under their pillows now and then.
Now, we are not trying to pressure you — or your
daughter. But many, many mothers have already introduced
their own prospective brides to our distinguished clientele.
So ask yourself, can it hurt to get a head start? Shouldo't
your daughter have the same chance as the next girl?
Grossinger's has everything. For her. And for you. Like
8 all-weather tennis courts, an 18-hole championship golf
course, indoor and outdoor Olympic swimming pools,
shuffleboard and handball courts, and a mile-long lake to
