A revised and updated edition
of the "Unified Jewish Religious
Education Curriculum for the
Armed Forces," with an expanded
scope of Jewish subject matter,
has been published by the com-
mission on Jewish chaplaincy of
the National Jewish Welfare
Board.
For use by Jewish chaplains in
all branches of the U.S. Armed
Forces, the 64-page curriculum
contains material for the religious
training of high school students
and young adults, as well as chil-
dren.

NEW YORK — When the New
York Philharmonic Orchestra de-
cided to honor retiring conductor
Leonard Bernstein, they commis-
sioned the widow of the renowned
artist Ilya Schor to create a silver

Mrs. Schor, who learned the art
of jewelry making from her late
husband, depicted an angel with a
trumpet "to symbolize the song"
and beneath it in Hebrew the words
"Behold the Lord, I shall glorify
