Lauren Kogan Is Bride
of Stephen Lee Stone

MRS. STEPHEN STONE

1

In a ceremony Sunday at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek, Lauren Cathy Ko-
gan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay
M. Kogan of Oak Dr. became the
bride of Stephen Lee Stone, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard B. Stone of
Trailwood Path, Birmingham.
The bride wore a gown of im-
ported French Alencon lace ap-
pliqued on English net over silk
cloud peau de soie. It featured
a high neckline, flounced edged
sleeves and a raised waistline
defined by a set-in band, bowed
and pearled at the center. The
tunic-styled lace skirt, deeply
scalloped, extended into a full
chapel-length train. Her head-
piece was a Juliet cap of match-
ing lace flower petals holding
the bouffant veil of imported
silk illusion.
The bride was attended by her
sister Amy as maid of honor, and
Mada Portnoy as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Beverly Katz,
Karen Sue Simon, Gay Rubin and
Leslie Cohn.
Allen Lichter served as best
man. Ushers included Seth and
Mark Kogan, brothers of the bride,
Ken Stein, Fredrick Rubin, Rob-
ert Kayes and Gary Marcus.
After honeymooning in Europe
the couple will reside in Farming-
ton.

breaking ceremony of the synago-
gue in 1963 and of the religious
school in action. There also were
pitcures of religious symbols in
mosaic created by Mrs. Florence
Kaufman in the social hall of the
congregation.

KLOPSS
Klopss is the Jewish version of
a meat loaf. It is made out of
chopped meat and flavored with
onions and garlic. It is moist and
tender and its juices are wonder-
ful on rice or mashed potatoes.
You can decorate the klopss by
putting hard boiled eggs in it.
When cutting the klopss cross-wise,
it will feature slices of egg in the
# center. Klopss is delicious when
served hot or cold, which makes it
doubly attractive.
