Akiva Hebrew Day School will
hold a second open house for par-
ents and visitors 9:30 a.m. Wednes-
day.
Registration for fall classes is
now open. and a limited number of
scholarships is available.
The first Akiva junior high school
graduation will take place June 19.
Graduates include Sophie Feldstein,
Deborah Rose. Alan Rosenberg,
Judy Krakovits and Reva Kamen.
Graduates will pr-esent a cantata
and talks in both Hebrew and Eng-
lish.

Continuing its exchange program_
with day schools of other cities,
Akiva will welcome the Akiva He-
brew Day School of Chicago this
week, and it will send the eighth
and ninth grade students to Chi-
cago June 9-10_

`Oifn Fiddle' Feature
of Folk Chorus Concert

Marking the 110th anniversary
of Sholom Aleichem's birth, the
Jewish Folk Chorus will present
his "Oifn Fiddle" 2 p.m. June 8 at
the Scottish Rite Cathedral, Mas-
onic Temple.
Harvey Schreibman, conductor,
announced that "The Ballad for
Americans" also will be on the
program, with Ralph Harris as
soloist. Yiddish, English and He-
brew folk songs also will be pre-
sented.
Tickets will be available at the
box office the afternoon of the per-
formance.
