his way to the American military

Roosevelt.
As fighting raged in Israel, he
arrived in the newborn state, to-
gether with his wife, also a refu-
gee. Both immediately joined the
armed forces. He remained in the
army until 1950, pioneering in the
task of building and expanding the
army's educational system.
In 1950, he joined the ministry of
labor as an assistant in economic
affairs.
