Junior High School and a charter
member of Adas Shalom Syna-
gogue, died Tuesday at age 55.
Mr. Newman, a native of De-
troit, resided at 29861 Muirland,
Farmington. He was a member of
the Adas Shalom youth commiss-
ion, Detroit Federation of Teach-
ers, Perfection Lodge of the Mas-
ons and Tikvah Lodge of Bnai
Brith. He was a graduate of the
University of Detroit and received
his teaching certificates from
Eastern Michigan University.
Survivors are his wife, Libbie;
three sons, Sherwin, Joel and San-
ford; a daughter, Susan; his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris New-
man; and a brother, Paul.
