Americans, Canadians Plan Aliya This Summer

NEW YORK (JTA)—One hun-
dred and thirty-four Americans
and Canadians has left for Israel
where they plan to settle. The
group, sPonsored by the Israel
Aliya Center; Inc., sailed from
New York July 8 aboard the Greek
liner, -Queen Anna Maria. Accord-
ing to the Aliya Center, it was
one of the largest sailings of
American settlers to Israel in re-
cent years.
They are a vanguard of, more
than 1,000 Americans and Cana-
dians who were expected to settle
in Israel this summer. Abraham
Frank, director of the Aliya Cen-
ter, said that 344 persons departed
for Israel during June and more
than ZOO were scheduled to settle
there during July and August.

Jill Bonnie Naimark, daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Martin Naimark
of Kingswood Dr., and Michael J.
Kamps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don-
ald Kamps of , Muskegon, were
united in marriage recently at
Adas Shalom Synagogue. Rabbis
Jacob Segal and Leonard Cahan
officiated.
The bride wore a princess-line
gown of peau de soie with a rolled
neckline and the hem of the skirt
bordered in corded peau de soie.
The veil was a Cathedral-length
mantilla of silk illusion appliqued
in hand-run Alencon lace.
The' bride's sister, Mrs. Gerald
Appelman, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Mark Av-
runin, Barbara Bressler, Mrs. Ron-
ald Barron, Mrs. Gregory DeVette
and Judith Naimark.
Robert Hague was best man.
Ushers were Gerald Appelman,
Grant Belinger, Arnold Blum,
Fred Blum, Alan Rovner and Rob-
ert Schrage.
Following a hOneyman in New
York, the couple will reside in
Iowa.
