For a:--light, refreshing and cooling
repast during these humid July days,
I suggest Sour Cherry Soup to be fol-
lowed by a dish of Cottage Cheese Pan-
cakes. Both are nourishing dishes and
not too filling, and not to fussy in
their preparation.
Sour Cherry Soup
can of pitted sours cherries
5 cupS of water
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 ,,Z teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
or flour
In a pot boil 10 minutes. cherries.
water, sugar and salt. Make a paste
of the cornstarch or flour and a little
cold water. Gradually add to soup
and boil five minutes more. Serve with
blobs of sour cream.
