ON THE HEELS of Jack
Swartz's golf item of last week
comes this one from Norbert Etke
. . . about Sam Heller taking his
wife Sally for her first lesson in
roughing it . . . and she coyly
asked, "Now tell me, which club
do I use to make a hole-in-one?"
MICHAEL GOODMAN, who
)lays the telephone man in "Bare-
foot in the Park" opening June 15,
)y the Center Theater, at the
- Jewish Community Center, is
really taking his part to heart .. .
He has borrowed a telephone and
takes it with him whenever visit-
ing "in case," says Mike, "I
have to replace the old one!"
CHILDREN'S DEPT.,. .. Bernice
Helfman, 7-year-old daughter
of Grace and Harold Helfman,
remarked while helping herself
to the last cookie on the plate .. .
"This won't matter to me, 'cause
I've been an old maid all my life,
anyhow."
DOROTHY GOLDBERG, state
department Jewish War Veterans
junior vice president, has formed
a dramatic group now in the proc-
ess of producing "A Night of TV
With JWV" . . . to be presented at
the department convention Oneg
Shabat, June 21, at the Pick-Ft.
Shelby Hotel . . . Although now in
rehearsal, a few parts are still
open, plus openings for musicians
. . . Anyone interested in taking
part may call Edith Hoffman, di-
rector, UN 4-5322, or Toby Lantz,
co-director 647-6262.
