MERCURY

On May 14, Detroit and Windsor
will host the first international
world's premiere in (motion picture
history, it was announced by
United Artists Corp. The picture,
David Wolper's production of "The
Devil's Brigade," will be seen
simultaneously in Detroit's Michi-
gan Theater and Windsor's Vanity
Theater.
William Holden has agreed to
be here for the event, as has the
real-life World War II hero he
portrays, Maj. Gen. Robert T.
Frederick. Also having confirmed
his appearance in Detroit and
Windsor is Gen. Mark Clark, whose
role in the picture is played by
Michael Rennie.
