Jordan River Sanctuary
Won't Help Infiltrators
JERUSALEM (JTA)—Israel may
soon issue a formal warning to
Jordan that the east bank of the
Jordan River will no longer be
respected as a sanctuary for Arab
marauders fleeing Israeli security
forces.
It was reported here that Israel
is considering giving its forces a
green light to pursue terrorists
across the river if incidents do
not end soon. Several times, Israeli
forces just missed catching Arab
terrorists who used the river as
an escape route. The Israeli •pur.

PARIS (JTA)—The summoning
of an Islamic congress to consider
the Israel-Arab dispute was advo-
cated in Casablanca by Allal el
Fassi, chairman of Istiqlal, the
Moroccan opposition party, which
has been consistently anti-Jewish
in domestic affairs. In his opening
speech to the party's annual con-
gress, el Fassi declared: "We must
interest the Arab and Moslem
states in the question of Palestine
and Sinai generally and ask them
to meet at an Islamic congress for
