Irwin Groner officiated.
After a Bermuda honeymoon, the
couple will live in Chicago.
The bridal gown was fashioned
of ivory Alencon lace. The straight
body of the town fell from a yolk
similar in st-ling to a doll dress.
A matching lace panel formed her
veil and fell to a chapel train
in back.
Mrs. Charles Disner, sister of
the bridegroom, served as ma-
tron of honor. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Walter Coleman, Carolyn
Zack and Betsy Stromer.

Hadassah Meeting
to Focus on Credit

A special meeting of all fund-
raising chairmen and personnel of
Detroit and South Oakland County
chapters of Hadassah will be held
1 p.m. today at Hadassah House.
Mrs. Ivan Meisner and Mrs. Leo
Shipko, donor chairmen of Detroit
and South Oakland County chap-
ters respectively, have called this
meeting to explain the new cumu-
lative fund-raising plan, whereby
a contributor to any Hadassah
project throughout the year will
be given credit, total amount of
which will entitle her to attend a
special event.
Detroit Chapter chairmen of
contribution projects are Mesdames
David Pollack, Richard Kamil,
Robert Siegel, Samuel Rhodes, Da-
vis Benson, Jason Honigman, Bar-
ney Keywell, Julius Pollak, Wil-
liam B. Isenberg, Max L. Lichter,
Benjamin Bond, Fred Schuman,
Aaron Friedman, Henry Rice,
1 Harry Sand, Ben Bonin, Irving
Rose, Ben Mossman, Herman Au-
gust and Nathan Schermer.
Mrs. Kamil and Mrs. Siegel,
chairmen of honor roll general
solicitations, advise that on Sept.
10, 17 and 24, Hadassah groups
will engage in a general telethon
solicitation for honor roll contri-
butions.

of the United Jewish Appeal, and
Mrs. Miles Jaffee, a member of
the board of the women's division
of the Detroit Jewish Welfare Fed-
eration, will leave New York Sept.
5, as part of a 22-member group
of United Jewish Appeal national
women's division leaders for a
three-week survey of UJA-sup-
ported welfare and immigrant aid
programs in France, Iran and Is-
rael.
Mrs. Jones is a former president
of the women's division of the De-
troit Federation, and a member of
its executive board. She is former

Funds and former president of the
Detroit Chapter of Hadassah. Her
civic and welfare posts include:
vice president of the Cerebral
Palsy Center of Detroit; a mem-
ber of the advisory board of the
United Foundation of Detroit and
executive committee member of
the Michigan United Fund. She is
a former vice president of the Girl
Scouts and serves on the boards
of the League for the Handicap-
ped, the Detroit Grand Opera As-
sociation and the Detroit Symph-
ony Orchestra. In 1963 the Wom-
en's Advertising Club of Detroit
presented her with the "Woman
of the Year" civic award and in
1964 she received the Alpha Epsi-
lon Phi national service award. In
1967 she was awarded its "Out-
standing Alumna Award" and
honored at its national convention.
Mrs. Jones has visited Israel
several times, most recently Imme-
diately following the Mid-East
cease-fire in June to survey dam-
age in Israel border settlements
supported by the UJA.
Mrs. Jaffee has been active on
various committees of the Federa-
tion for some years. She is a memr
ber of the boards of the Jewish
Community Center, South Oakland
County Hadassah, Jewish Family
and Children's Service and the
Roeper City and Country School
of Bloomfield Hills. She serves on
the board of governors of Detroit's
United Community Services.

Mystery Evening Afoot
for Daniel-Yosef Branch

Daniel-Yosef Branch 11 of the
Labor Zionist Organization of De-
troit will have as its August social
a "Mystery Evening" 8:30 p.m.
Saturday at the Labor Zionist In-
stitute. Social chairmen are Isa
Medow and Jean Rappaport.
Upon reassembling at 11:30,
prizes will be awarded and a mid-
night supper will be served.
The branch will also welcome
back Elliot Rappaport and Mr. and
Mrs. Zelig Cutler from their re-
cent visits to Israel.
