DELICIOUS ORD ER is the
bagel, lox and cream cheese plat-
ter at the Aged & Rare in the
Harlan House on W. Grand Blvd.
. . . Nice slice of Bermuda onion,
too! . . . The yum yum platter is
served from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
MARGARET LAFIAN plays a
beautiful keyboard at the Attache
piano bar on E. Jefferson, just

MYRON COHEN being inter-
viewed on WWJ-TV, last week
while appearing at the Act IV,
extolled his love for pancakes
. . . and was told to try them at
Uncle John's . . . While at the
eatery on Eight Mile Rd. after com-
ing in from over 90 degree weather,
Myron told of the two Ubangi
girls meeting one very hot day in
the jungle . . . One of them stuck
her face right up close to the other
one's face and rapidly knocked
off, "Peter Piper Picked a Peck
of Pickled Peppers. Now you fan
me for awhile."

Uncle John's in which all high
schools in Detroit area partici-
pated, was won by Walled Lake
High with an average of 31.5 pan-
cakes per boy . . . 40 fellows eat-
ing 1,262 . . . All told, 52,087 pan-
cakes according to Ray Pearce,
were consumed . . . If laid end
to end, says Ben Kasle, this would
reach over five miles!

NOBODY, NOT EVEN the
bosses, know what the daily
luncheon special is going to be at
the Adlib on Wyoming and Michi-
gan . . . The "surprise" changes
every day and even the help
stroke their chins in wonderment!
MURRY LIEBERMAN did such
a terrific job for George Roumell
as manager at the Press Club that
George has put Murry in charge at
his Seafood Grotto on Woodward
. . . The spot holds over 160
people with bar, plus three meet-
ing and banquet rooms . . . The
seafood variety is huge, but no
limit on the style or type of food
served . . . In fact, if you want
those eggs and onions like the old
days at Lieberman & Citron on
Linwood, you'll get that, too —
and if Murry is there, get him to

TEL AVIV (JTA)—Israeli Jews
who fought with the Czechoslovak
forces or in the anti-Nazi under-
ground and won medals for hero-
ism decided to send back their
medals to the Czech government as
a protest against the Czechoslovak
attitude toward Israel and the de-
cision to break diplomatic relations
with Israel over the Arab-Israel
war.
The Czechoslovak section of the
Israeli Fighters Against the Nazis
collected all the medals and will
send them back in one package to
Prague. Officials of ne section told
newsmen that it was "a shame"
that a government which had suf-
fered under Nazi occupation would
defend "a dictator like Nasser
whose aggression was proven be-
yond dispute." They added that in
severing relations with Israel, the
Czech government had proved that
it sided with aggressors and did
not seek justice.
