A national lladassah officer will
be keynote speaker at the Ha-
dassah Michigan Region Confer-
ence May 16-18 at the Howard
Johnson Motor Inn, Grand Boule-
vard at Third.
Chairmen are Mrs. David Schach-
ter and Mrs. Morris A. Wayne.
Mrs. Ivan Meisner is conference
arrangements chairman, and Mrs.
Alfred Rosen is treasurer.
Keynote speaker at the Tuesday
luncheon and Wednesday banquet,
Mrs. Benjamin Gottesman of New
York City, a member of the na-
tional executive
committee, is na-
tional chairman
of Hadassah's vo-
cational educ a-
tion network in
Israel, which in-

ing Center, Ila- Mrs. Gottesman
dassah Vocational Guidance Insti-
tute and lladassah-Neurim, t h e
rural vocational training center of
Youth Aliya and Hadassah.
As past national vice president,
she was also the editor of the
Hadassah Newsletter, which under
her direction became the Hadas-
sah magazine, recognized today
as one of the most authoritative
publications of its kind.
Mrs. Gottesman was chairman
of the education department from
1950 to 1955 membership chair-
man from 1945 to 1950 (when
membership rose from 200,000 to
300,000) and chairman of the key
personnel and integration commit-
tees.
Mrs. Gottesman serves as a
member of the board of the
United Israel Appeal and as a

zesty with onions, herbs,
spices and olive oil. For spa-
ghetti, noodles and rice,
meats, fish and egg dishes—
it's geshmakste...and meat-

2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
or oil
Do not peel zucchini. Trim off ends.
Cover zucchini with boiling water and
let stand for about 10 minutes. Cut in
halves lengthwise. Remove pulp. Fry
vegetable shortening or oil, add rest of
ingredients and fill the shells. Place
stuffed zucchini In casserole greased
with vegetable shortening or oil and 1
tablespoon lemon juice. Dot stuffing
with 1 tablespoon shortening.
Bake in 350 degree oven about 30
minutes, basting occasionally.
