3 Toronto Neo-Nazis
Fined for Role in Riot

Fisher Presents Award to Wishnick

TORONTO (JTA) — Three of
seven nee-Nazis found guilty in
Toronto court of unlawful as-
sembly in connection with a riotous
. demonstration in Toronto last July
were fined $100 each. Two were
given suspended sentences and two
others were released.
One of those fined, David Stan-
ley, 21, made a public recantation
recently of his pro-Nazi views. He
told the court, after being given
the alternative of 15 days in pri-
son, that he was studying journal-
ism in night school. Jack de Cock,
17, also received an alternative of
15 days in prison.
John Beattie, 23, the "fuehrer"
of the neo-Nazis, who is living on
unemployment insurance, was given
an alternative sentence of 30 days.
He faces possible additional im-
prisonment for failure to pay an
earlier $150 fine on a public dis-
turbance charge.
