a $137,500 grant from the Maurice
and Laura Falk Foundation for the

establishment of an eye study cen-
ter to be known as the Maurice
Falk Center for Research and Post-
graduate Studies in Ophthalmo-
logy.

an easy night of it at recent mar-
riage of Naida Bader and Michael
Simon . . . Only one number to call

Cadillac, but with a strike coming
on, Herman Schwartz advised
them to try and get another place

date open and accommodated the
256 guests . . . As it turned out. the
strike was delayed for a couple
of days and the affair could have
been held at the Sheraton-Cadillac
. But it was already too late to
switch back again . . However,
the wedding was beautiful and a
good time was had by all.
ON DEC. 29, Mr. and Mrs. W.
Rottenberg celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary . . . Sam
Emmer played the party . . . 50
years ago in Detroit, another Em-
mer had played the violin at the
wedding . . . Sam's father.
