In his law practice he is a part-
ner in the firm of Ellmann and
Ellmann, with his father, James
I. Ellmann, who has practiced for
the State Bar of Michigan, govern-
ing body of the state's 9,400 at-
torneys.
Ellmann became a State Bar
commissioner in 1959 when he
was appointed by the state Su-
preme Court, a post to which he
was reappointed in 1961. He re-
cently headed the Michigan dele-
gation that argued the profes-
sional corporation regulations be-
fore the Internal Revenue. Service
in Washington. He was also a
member of the4 committee which
promoted the bill resulting in the
creation of the appellate court
which will be established Jan. 1.
He is a member of the executive
committee of the Detroit Ad-
visory Board of the American
Arbitration Association and an
executive board member of the

Stuart Weingarden were united in
marriage recently at' a ceremony I Highland Park high school in 1939,
solemnized at Mayfair Hall by
Rabbi A. Irving Schnipper and
Cantor Morris Kaminsky.,
They are the children of Mr.
and Mrs. Philip Higer of Braile
Ave. and Mrs. Rose Zeitlin of
Schaefer Rd.
The bride wore a silk gown with
three-quarter sleeves. The sweet-
heart bodice and skirt were re-
embroidered with raised lace flow-
ers and trimmed with seed pearls
and crystal beads, and the detach-
able chapel train was caught with
two roses. She carried a bouquet
of roses and orchids.
Mrs. Mitchell Abrams was the
bride's matron of honor. Brides-
maids were Marcia Gale and Estelle
Bakunow. Stanley Weingarden was
his brother's best man and ushers
included Herman Chudnow and the
bride's brothers; Morey and David
Higer.
Following a honeymoon in New
York, the couple is residing on
West Seven Mile Rd.
With his wife, Sheila F. and their
two children, the Ellmanns make
their home at 19724 Shrewsbury.

Schedule Convention

from all parts of the United States,
Canada and abroad will assemble
for the 20th biennial convention
of the National Federation of Tem-
ple Brotherhoods and its Jewish
Chautauqua Society, Nov. 12-15,
at Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly
Hills, Calif.
Theme of the convention is "Liv-
ing Judaism Through Brotherhood
— in the Temple and in Society."
Leading clergymen, educators and
laymen will address the major ses-
sions and seminars on civil rights,
intermarriage, retirement and ecu-
menical developments.
J. Jacques Stone, of New York,
NFTB president, will preside over
the four-day session. The NFTB
comprises 450 men's clubs with
65,000 members in Reform trn-
ples affiliated with the Union of
American Hebrew Congregations.
Seymour M. Liebowitz of Law-
rence, N. Y., chancellor, will pre-
side over the meetings of the Jew-
ish . Chautauqua Society, the broth-
erhoods' major educational pro-
ject, which fosters interfaith un-
derstanding by assigning rabbis to
lecture at 1,200 colleges and 400
Christian church summer camps
and produces motion pictures
about Judaism for television.
