Leibush L. Lehrer,
Educator, Dies at 77

NEW YORK (JTA)-Leibush L.
Lehrer, a prominent Yiddish ed-
ucator and author of several books
on psychology and literature, died
here Sept. 17 at the age of 77.
Born in Warsaw, Mr. Lehrer
came to the United States. in 1909
and has been a lecturer at the
Jewish Teachers Seminary since
1919.
He was director of Camp Boi-
berick, an educational children's
camp operated by the Sholem
Aleichem Institute and a former
principal of the Sholem Aleichem
Secondary School. He was a co-
chairman of the commission on , re-
search of the Yivo Research Insti-
tute and a member of the National
Council for Jewish Education.

American-Hebrew Poet

Moses Feinstein Is Dead

TEL AVIV (JTA)-Moge.s.•Fein-
stein, a leading American Hebrew
poet and educator, died Sept. 21
at the age of 67. He was a co-
founder of the Herzliah Hebrew
Teachers Institute of New York
and had been dean since 1921.
He served as director of a Jew-
ish Agency education and culture
department seminar in Jerusalem
in 1953 and had been a member
of the board of licensing of the
Jewish Education Committee of
New York since 1953.

Theater Author H. Bossin
Dies at 58 in Toronto

TORONTO (JTA)-Hye Bossin,
prominent Jewish: journalist in the
field of show business, died here
at the age of 58. He was editor of
Canadian Film Weekly.
He was the author of "Stars of
David," a history of the Jewish
participation in the Toronto thea-
ter and of the Yiddish stage, which
was published jointly by the Jew-
ish Standard and the Canadian
Jewish Congress.
