AT THE RECENT bar mitzvah
celebration of Billy Elkus. son of
Estelle and Phil "Toddy" Elkus at
Hotel Statler, the "masters touch"
was evident again as Al Rosenberg
gave a superb strictly kosher dis-
play of talent . . . After the dinner
Al's ingenuity had the over-200
people much delighted with the
set-up of a Coney Island hot dog
stand, an old-fashioned penny
candy store and an ice cream bar
(parve, of course!) . . . Those who
attended are still talking about it!

LEO KNIGHT, popular photog-
rapher, relates of the girl sitting
for a portrait at his studio who
took mind to Leo's remark that she
looked fine and, in all sincerity,
stated that she had never seen her-
self through the lens of a camera
. . . Before Leo could say anything
she got up and began walking over
for a looksee . . . Suddenly her
face colored with embarassment
as she realized her faux pas . . .
The poor girl didn't say another
word for the remainder of the
sitting.

AN ANTIQUE VASE, handed

of Marion Stone . .. When Marion

the expressman was told by her
that it was 120 years old and to

her. I'll be as careful as if
