Photographer Succumbs

Morris Ginsburg, one-time De-
troit photographer, died Monday
in Chicago. He had lived in De-
troit 40 years before moving to
Chicago two years ago.
Mr. Ginsburg, 71, was born in
Russia. He was a member of Far-
band, Labor Zionist Organization.
His studio was at 772,7 Mack.
Survivors are a son, Dr. Ben-
son; and three grandchildren. In-
terment Detroit.

Western Union Manager
Morris Waxman Dies

Dr. James Rogin,
Dermatologist, Dies

Morris L. Waxman, manager of
the Western Union main office,
died Sunday at age 58. He had
started out with Western Union as
a messenger boy in his teens.
Mr. Waxman, 20271 Burt, was
president of the CTU Western
Union Workers of Detroit and an
officer of its national board.

Prominent Detroit dermatologist
Dr. James Robert Rogin, 19180
Canterbury, died July 17. He was
57.
Dr. Rogin was chief of the de-
partment of dermatology at Sinai
Hospital and two weeks ago was
named full professor by the Wayne
State University College of Medi-
cine. He was on the staff of Re-
ceiving Hospital.
A 1929 graduate of the Uni-
versity of Michigan Medical
School, New York-born Dr. Ro-
gin completed his residency in
dermatology at the Mayo Clinic,
Rochester, N.Y. He lived in De-
troit 29 years.
Dr. Rogin was a member of
Phi Delta Epsilon medical fra-
ternity, Wayne County Medical
Society, Detroit Dermatological
Association and the Noah Wor-
cester Medical Society.
He leaves his wife, Lillian; a
son, Kenneth; two daughters, Mrs.
Clement (Ann) Farber and San-
dra; two brothers, Sidney and Wil-
liam of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs.
Donald (Betty) Harris and Mrs.
Leon (Martha) Pierce; and three
grandchildren.

Born in Poland, he lived in De-
troit most of his life. He was a
pioneer in the Young Judaea move-
ment and was a member of Ma-
sonic Lodge, F. & A. M. He also
was president of United Friendship
Club of Detroit.
He leaves his wife, Elizabeth;
a son, Raymond; a daughter, Mrs.
R i c'h a r d (Doris) Gold; two
brothers, Ed ward and Samuel;
three sisters, Mrs. Morrey L. (Rose)
Pollack, Mrs. A 11 a n (Henrietta)
Agree and Mrs. Michael (Esther)
Lewis of Omaha; and four grand
children.
