New Crescent House Will Premiere;
Area's 1st Apartment-in-the-Round
The grand opening of Crescent
House, Telegraph, just north of
Seven Mile, introduces to Detroit
the first architectural 'apartment-
in-the-round' in the metropolitan
area.
Two semi-circular buildings en-
circle an interior court which has
been developed into a scenic gar-
den park offering unobstructed
views from surrounding apart-
ments.
Builders are Joseph Jacobson
and Gerald Avison, of Jason De-
velopment.
The private garden park has
flowering trees and shrubs,
shaded walks and benches and a
freeform miniature lake, which
will offer winter ice skating for
residents.
Crescent House also has a spec-
ial recreational area with a large
swimming pool, deck area and
shuffle board courts. It's conveni-
ently located but in a scheduled
area to block out noise.
Particular attention has been
paid to the sound proofing in the
construction.
There is heavy sound proofing
on all walls and ceilings, private
locked hallways are carpeted, and
each entry door is sound proofed.
All outer walls and the roof are
extra heavily insulated.
