MRS. WILLIAM KONSTANTIN

Miriam Lois Schwartz, daughter
of Mrs. Benjamin Schwartz of
Dartmouth Ave., Oak Park, and
the late Mr. Schwartz, became the
bride of William Konstantin at a
recent evening ceremony at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek. Rabbi Morris Ad-
ler and Cantor Jacob Sonenklar of-
ficiated. The gridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Konstantin,
ow Webb Ave.
The new Mrs. Konstantin wore
a princess-line, floor-length gown
of ivory peau de soie with an
open neckline and short sleeves.
The gown was trimmed with peau
de lange lace embroidered in
pearls and had a detachable
chapel train. Her veil was a cap
of ivory peau de soie rose petals
and lace with a pouf veil of
matching silk illusion.
Honor attendant was Beverly
Schubiner. Bridesmaids were Bev-
erly Goldberg of Grand Rapids and
Helen Stotzky, and junior brides-
maids Debra Stotzky, Helaine Rodin
and Risa Burns. Susan Burns was
flower girl, and Jeffrey Rodin ring
bearer.
Maurice Stotzky served his broth-
er-in-law as best man. Ushers were
Brian Stotzky, Alvin Winer, Jerome
Yudkoff, Stuart Frank and Daniel
K. Marks, head usher, with Michael
Burns, junior usher.
After a trip to Bermuda, the
couple will live in Oak Park.

Workmen's Circle
Compiles Jewish
Song Favorites

In conjunction with Jewish Mu-
sic Month, the Workmen's Circle
has compiled in book form an
alphabetically arranged listing of
550 Jewish songs and the records
on which they can be heard.
Included are brief descriptions
of each recommended record, as
well as a cross-index of the com-
posers and lyricists.
The compilation was made by
El e a n o r Gordon-Mlotek, a re-
searcher in the field of Jewish
folk-songs.

Youth of Windsor
Conduct Drive,
Plan Activities

Windsor Jewish Center youth, in
the midst of their Youth Welfare
Fund campaign, have scheduled a
number of activities for the corn-
ing weeks, it was announced by
Henry Shanfield, chairman of the
youth activities committee.
Every young person in the
Windsor community is asked to
participate in the fund campaign
during the next two weeks.
The Teen drama group will
present a three-act comedy,
"Time Out for Ginger" 8:30 p.m.
May 9-10 at the center. The
Community Forum program on
"The Adolescent and Achieve-
ment" will be presented for high
school students and parents 8:15
p.m. May 12. A World Childs'
Day junior party is scheduled
for 2:30 p.m. Sunday. A filled
plastic doll is admission.
Summer programs also are an-
nounced, with registration now
open for Yomee Day Camp (age
31/2 to 13) July 6-Aug. 14; and the
"Teen Adventure" program for
youth over 13, featuring weekends
at Camp Tamarack and visits to
points of interest. For information,
call the Center, 254-7558.

basketball team was runner-up in
the Jewish Welfare Board Canadi-

ORT (Organization for Rehabilitation Through Training) '7 p.m.
Wednesday at the Sheraton-Cadillac Hotel, are committee members

candlelight dinner will follow a cocktail hour, and an international

Bnai Brith Women Will Attend
Leadership Develop ment Institute

Joel Lipschutz, 17, son of Dr.
and Mrs. Louis S. Lipschutz of
19650 Chesterfield, has earned one
of the most coveted honors of the
Interlochen Arts Academy.
Joel, an Academy senior, was
one of 10 concerto winners chosen
from 40 students competing for
the award during two days of audi-
tions before a panel of the Aca-
demy music faculty.
He was selected on the basis
of his viola performance of the
Handel-Casadesus "Concerto in B
Minor," the work he will repeat as
a featured soloist in one of the
weekly concerts with the Arts
Academy Orchestra.
