Nazi Camp Survivors
Set Protest Rally for
Compensation Claims

(Direct JTA Teletype Wire
to The Jewish News)

LONDON--Eastern European
Jewish survivors of Nazi death
camps will hold a mass meeting
here Monday night to empha-
size their demands that the
Bundestag (West German Par-
liament's lower house) pass leg-
islation to compensate unsatis-
fied claims by many thousands
of Jews who are not yet covered
by the West German restitution
laws.
Announcement of the meet-
ing was made by a group rep-
resenting Jewish concentration
camp survivors originally from
the Baltic countries now under
S o vie t domination (Poland,
Czechoslovakia, Hungary). Part
of the group sponsoring the
meeting represent also the
Council of Jews from Austria.

Fund Peaks Reported
by Cleveland Federation

CLEVELAND (JTA) — High
peaks in funds obtained and in
moneys allocated were reached
in 1963 by the Cleveland Jewish
community, according to the
60th annual report submitted
by M. E. Glass, president of the
Jewish Community Federation.
Glass reported that the 1963
Jewish Welfare Fund Campaign
here recorded "an alltime high"
of $5,829,216. In addition, the
federation received $1,087,296
from the Community Fund-
United Appeal, again "the high-
est sum" ever obtained from
this source.
