Israeli Development
Ministry to Invest in
Copper Explorations

JERUSALEM — The Israeli
Development Ministry plans to
invest 600,000 pounds ($200,-
000) in exploration for new
copper deposits in the Eilat
area, Minister Joseph Almogi
told the parliamentary econom-
ic committee Wednesday.
He said geologists had indi-
cated there were good prospects
of finding good quality ore
around Eilat, Israel's southern-
most port city, with results ex-
pected to be known within a
few months.
