In this true story about the
Cohen family there are inter-
marriages and divorces. There
were moments of joy and many
sorrows.
Lester Cohen's father wanted
him also to be a doctor. Lester
insisted he wanted to be an
author. He worked on Chicago
newspapers as an advertising
executive and was the author
of a number of successful books,
some of which were made into
movies. He wanted for many
years to write the story about
his parents and he finally
yielded to that temptation,
"Mom and Pop" being the re-
sult.
