Marking the 25th anniversary
of the founding of the Jewish
Community Council, c u r r en t

tion participated in the ceremo-
nies celebrating the event, at
the Jewish Center, Monday.
The anniversary dinner pre-
ceded the formal quarterly dele-
gate assembly of the Council and
the election of officers.

the evening, Rabbi Morris Adler
reviewed , the Council's accom-
plishments and he placed empha-
sis 6• the significance of demo-
cratic acting and thinking in.
Jewish ranks when dealing with
public matters.
A thorough. review of the
•CounciPs history and the role
played in its founding by
many Jewish leaders was given
by Dr. Krohn, co-chairman
with Shevitz of the annivers-
ary celebration. Dr. Krohn
and Shevitz paid honor to the
memory of a number of Conn-
"cil leaders who passed away
since the founding of the cen-
tral organization.
A report on the Council's ac-
tivities during the past three
months was submitted by. Walter
Klein, executive director of the .
Council.
