Dr. Warren has stated, as the
reason for such a tree project
among his parishioners: "I would
like to see my congregation, as
a part of the Christian commu-
nity, represented in some way
in Israel. Israel is the Holy
Land for many faiths of the
world. The planting of trees has
a vital role in the reclamation
of the land. We, too, are eager
for its success and -wish to dem-
onstrate our faith by joining
with our fellow Jews in helping
to ensure the full redemption
of the nation of Israel. It is a
positive way by which we can

further the cause of under-
standing and better relation-
ships between Christians and
Jews. We hope that by planting
trees in Israel we can help to
foster this kindred spirit."
The public is invited to attend
this service.
