Marshall Memorial Medal on
Nov. 11 at the Americana Hotel
in New York.
The Marshall Medal is one of
the highest honors accorded by
the Seminary. The presentation
will take place at the annual
dinner of the Seminary's Na-
tional Patrons Society. Speaker
of the evening will be Earl
Warren, Chief Justice of the
United States Supreme Court,
who earlier will have partici-
pated in an all-day study session
at the Seminary.
In addition to Eisenberg, the
medal will be conferred upon
former U.S. Senator Herbert H.
Lehman, former Federal Judge
Simon H. Rifkind, both of New
York City; Louis Stein of Phila-
delphia, Benjamin H. Swig of
San Francisco, Myron Weinstein
of Chicago and Joseph S. Wohl
of Cedarhurst, N. Y.

Albert A. Kramer is the
Democratic candidate for repre-
sentative of the 4th District
(Southern Oakland County) in
Michigan's legislature. _
An attorney and graduate of
the United Hebrew Schools and
Wayne State University Law
School, he is a member of Israel
Labor Zionist Organization and
the Jewish War Veterans. Kra-
mer and his wife, Sedell
(Gould), live with their three
children at 23651 Radclift, Oak
Park.

ary administrators on the basis
of "continuing effort to further
the spiritual and cultural well-
being of the Jewish community
in the tradition served so emi-
nently by the late Louis Mar-
shall." Louis Marshall was a
noted constitutional lawyer who
served as chairman of the Sem-
inary's Board of Directors from
1904 until his death in 1929.
Eisenberg, who is a member
of Adas Shalom Synagogue, has
a long record of service to the
community, and in addition to
his very productive activities in
the Allied Jewish Appeal and
other national welfare and edu-
cational agencies. He is a mem-
ber of the Seminary's national
cabinet.

The Women's Auxiliary of
the Jewish National Fund will
hold a special gifts tea, 1 p.m.
Nov. 7, at the home of Mrs.
Karl Katkow-

This year the
Women's Aux-
iliary, in con-
junction with
the JNF Coun-
cil of Detroit,
is working to-
wards securing
the settlement
of Gadot, which
Ramati is on the Syri-
an border. The guest speaker at
the tea will be Colonel Shaul
Ramati, who is the Israeli Con-
sul for the midwest region. The
guest artist - will be Arella
Arley.
Mrs. William Klafer and Mrs.
Jack Rosenthal are chairmen

daughter, Carol Marcia, to Dr.

Miss Wetsman is a senior at
the University of Michigan.
Her fiance is a graduate of

with noted pianist Glenn Gould
