WASHINGTON, (JTA)—Con-
tributions to the Special Fund
of the 1962 United Jewish Ap-
peal drive in the national capi-
tal area are topping the entire
nation in terms of per cent in-
creases over the special fund
raised in 1961, it was reported
by Hyman Goldman, general cam-
paign chairman, and Joseph Ot-
tenstein, president of the United
Jewish Appeal of Greater Wash-
ington.
The regular fund, too, is run-
ning well ahead of last year and
has already exceeded $1,110,000.
The rate of increase for the reg-
ular fund is approximately 10
per cent higher than that por-
tion of the 1961 drive.
