Announcement was made this week by Louis Luckoff, on
behalf of Knollwood Country Club, that the club will host the
$35,000 Motor City Open Golf Tournament from July 12 to 15.
The outstanding golf contestants will rival for honors and
high stakes.
Among the noted participants will be Mike Souchak, former
Duke University grid star; Doug Ford, Dow Finsterwald and
others.
This is one of the unique sports undertakings of the year,"
Luckoff said, "and we expect nationwide interest in the note-
worthy contests that are assured by the July events that will
mark the $35,000 Motor City Open Golf Tournament."

Karen Leah Mellen became
the birde of Richard Alan Litt in
a ceremony performed June 10
by Rabbi Jacob E. Segal at Adas
Shalom Synagogue.
Parents of the newlyweds are
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Mellen of
Fairfield Ave.'and Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Litt of Northlawn Ave.
The bride wore an original
Bianci gown of candlelight silk
peau de soie with appliquae of
French Alencon lace. The gown
was princess style with the front
panel going criss-cross with lace,
which was embroidered with tiny
seed pearls. It had a square
neckline and elbow -length
sleeves. The shoulder-length veil
was held in place with a crown
of seed pearls and crystals. The
veil was made from silk illusion.
Mrs. Harold Josephson was
matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Barbara Litt, sister of the
bridegroom; Carol Sue Rose and
Mrs. Ronald Bain.
Mark Mellen, brother of the
bride, was best man. Ushers
were Jeoffrey Stross, Charles
Gabe, Larry Skolnick, Harold
Josephson, Gerald Blanke. Ste-
phen Coden, Lawrence Haber
and Richard Bockoff.
A dinner-dance followed the
ceremony. The couple departed
for a honeymoon in Miami
Bea c h. They will reside on
Meyers Rd.
