Mr. and Mrs. J. Peels have departed for Milan, Italy, for a
month's stay. A party was held at their home on April 29, given by
her parents, to bid them a bon voyage.
Gayle Caplan, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. B. B. Caplan, former
Detroiters now living in Columbus, Ohio, was honored at a father
and daughter banquet sponsored by Vassar College for writing,
producing and directing a play. A journalism major and resident
of her class at Vassar, she has been working as a reporter during
vacation for the Columbus Dispatch.
The Neuman-Bean Family Club will meet Sunday at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Katanick, 31838 Bretton, Livonia.

Mrs. Abram Guyer, 19903 Murray Hill, on May 6 entertained
with a tea at her home for her future daughter-in-law, Sheila
Rae Hartman of Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Chase recently entertained members
and friends of the Vladimiritzer Emergency Relief Organization
in honor of the marriage of their daughter, Elayne, to Robert
Mangen, and also in honor of their guest, Yakov Sharony of
Bnai Brak, Israel.
Mr. and Mrs. Mel Miller of Scotia Rd., Oak Park, are en-
tertaining guests from New York. the Freddie Fishers and their
son, Theodore.
Jo Ann Weinhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wein-
hart of Rensselaer Ave., Oak Park, will celebrate her "sweet 16"
birthday at a luncheon to be given by her grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Bluestein of Ardmore Ave. on Sunday at To-
pinka's Country House.
Rabbi Jacob Segal of Adas Shalom Synagogue will be a
member of a panel on "The Jewish Day School" and will serve
also as a discussion leader in a workshop session on the same
topic at the annual convention of the Rabbinical Assembly
Sunday through Thursday at Kiamesha Lake, N.Y. Attending the
Conservative rabbinate conference also will be Rabbi Benjamin
Gorrelick of Beth Aaron Synagogue, Rabbi Irwin Groner of
Cong. Shaarey Zedek and Rabbi Moses Lehrman of Bnai Moshe.

Israel and London were Rose Drachler, Bertha Fishkin, Mr. and
Mrs. Max Gladstone, David Gornbein, Hannah Jacobs, Sara Jacobs,
Ida Kutnick, Celia Lefton, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Michlin, Dorothy
Robbins, Sophie Shapiro, Elsie Shear and Mrs. E. Urbach.

held their annual Mother's Day tea at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. A. Moses.
Mrs. Al Goldstein and Mrs. Maurice Floch were co-hostesses
at a surprise dinner-party in the Goldstein home honoring Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel Levy on their 20th wedding anniversary.
