Hillel Day School's Hagadah

Simon-Sklover
Engagement Told

A most impressive Hagadah
has been issued by the Hillel
Day School for use of its stu-
dents.
Mostly in Hebrew, it is beau-
tifully illustrated and contains
the major portions of the Seder
ritual.
Taking pride in the Hillel
school product, Rabbi Jacob E.
Segal expressed joy in the fact
that the chidren in the school
not only are able to use this
Hagadah but understand its
contents.

Swee-Touch-Nee Tea
Renews Seder Memory

To those who can recollect
to Sedar night at grandfather's
house. there is one thing that
still has the capacity to evoke
nostalgic memories: the rich,
aroma of Swee-touch-nee Tea.
The holiday scene was never
complete without it; the little
red tin treasure chest nestled
beside the gleaming brass Pas-
sover samovar, lovingly buffed
to mirror-brightness in honor of
the holiday and cheerfully bub-
bling with the promise of the de-
licious brew that was a holiday
tradition in the home.
Many things change in the
course of two or three genera-
tion; old customs, transplanted
from Europe, give way to tradi-
tions more akin to our American
way of life.
But the tradition of Swee-
touch-nee Tea, at Passover and,
for that matter, throughout the
entire year, is as strong, as
fondly familiar today as it was
ill grandfather's home—and in
his father's home in the old
country.

The movie is spoken in Yid-
dish, with full English titles.
Coffee will be served after the
performance.
