Women's President,- Visits Here
Mrs. Miriam Shor of Los An-
geles, national president of the
Jewish War Veterans Ladies
Auxiliary, will visit Michigan
from March 11-13 as the guest
of the Department of Michigan.
A reception in her honor will
be held March 11 at the home
of Department President Mrs.
Esther Feld.
Mrs. Shor will tour the De-
troit Civic Center and will be
honor guest at a luncheon at
the home of Mrs. Jack Iden,
Department patriotic instructor,
on March 12. Attending the
luncheon will be the 14 Michi-
gan auxiliary presidents and
all past department presidents.
A special Department meet-
ing will he held at the JWV
Memorial Home on March 12.
Mrs. Shor will visit the Ann
Arbor Veterans Hospital March
13, at which time a gift to the
hospital will be presented in
her honor. Mrs. Shirley Robin-
son is in charge of the hospital
visit.
Mrs. Shor will be honored at
a dinner party on March 13 at
the House of Chung Restau-
rant. Mrs. Sidney Cohen, De-
partment senior vice president,
is in charge of the dinner. Res-

Rosenthal Named
Library Week Head
Avram "Skip" Rosenthal has
been appointed executive direc-
tor of National Library Week
for Michigan, April 8-14, an-
nounced Ransom L. Richardson,
president of the Michigan Li-
brary Association.
Rosenthal has been director
of the Livonia Library System
since its inception in 1958. He
holds masters degrees from
Wayne State University and the
University of Michigan and is
a Ph. D. candidate in library
science.
