Bnai Brith recruits not only
serve Bnai Brith rallies but al-
so staff Mobile Units at least
once a week for the American
Red Cross. They act as regis-
trars, donor-room workers and
observers and assist the profes-
sional staff of doctors- and
-nurses. -
Yetta Yates has...been a volun-
teer and leader since the incep-
tion of the program.
To maintain a constant supply
of blood, Bnai Brith conducts
rallies every other month. The
current rally will be held 6 to
11 p.m. Monday at the Pepper
School in Oak Park and 6 p.m.
to 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Adas
Shalom Synagogue; under the
joint sponsorship of the men's
and women's councils. In addi-
tion to prizes offered by the
Bnai Brith Bowling Association
at the rallies, two trips for two
aboard the S.S. Aquarama will
be presented.
Forty pints of blood, which
amounted to 10 per cent of the
total donated at the last rally,
was given to the Children's Lu-
kemia Foundation, according to
Blood Bank chairmen Julius
Berkowitz and Sylvia Weitz-
man.
