Moses Ben Isaac Di Rieti, a
rabbi, physician and poet who
lived in 15th century Rome, was
chief rabbi of Rome and per-
sonal physician of Pope Pius II.
His major poetical work was
Mikdash Me-at (Little Sanctu-
ary), which depicted Paradise
and was composed in the ter-
zina stanzas used by Dante.

PHILADELPHIA, (JTA) —
The new Hadassah-Hebrew Uni-
versity Medical Center in Ein
Karem, Israel, has received a
bequest of $132,466 from the
will of Miriam Chesney, a Jew-
ish schoolteacher who died last
year.
The bequest has already been
turned over to the Philadelphia
chapter of Hadassah and will be
used to endow a portion of the
hospital in m e m o r y, of Miss
Chesney's parents, Abraham
Mordecai and Dena Grupp
