Topics for Discussion
The fall meeting of the Mar-
ried Couples Club of Cong.
Bnai Moshe will be held 8:30
p.m. Monday in the synagogue
lounge.
The topic "A Look At Christ
— The Jewish Viewpoint
Through The Ages" will be in-.
troduced and presented for dis-
cussion by Rabbi Moses Lehr-
man, spiritual leader of the
congregation.
Mr. and Mrs. Boris Tobes ars
program chairmen. President
Bernard Sharkey said refresh-
ments will be served with the
officers acting as hosts to new
members.
Sharkey, who is also chair-
man of the congregation's Adult
Education Committee, an-
nounced that attorney William
Cohen will speak on "Pornog-
raphy versus censorship", 9:30
p.m. Sunday, in the synagogue
social hall. This is part of a
series of Sunday morning forum
sessions,sponsered by the Adult
Education Department for par-
ents who bring their children
to Sunday School, as well as
Sunday morning worshippers.
Outsiders are welcome at these
meetings.

A Yiddish culture sub-com-
mittee of the culture commis-
sion of the Jewish Community
Council of Metropolitan Detroit
has been ofgarfized, it was an-
nounced by Stanley J. Winkel-
man, Council president, and
Irving Pokempner, chairman of
its culture commission.
Under the chairmanship of
Jack Malamud, the committee
consists of Joseph Bernstein,
Mrs. Morris Friedman, Movsas
Goldoftas, Dr. Shmarya Klein-
man, Benjamin Laikin, Louis
LaMed, Morris Malin, Emanuel
Mark, Mrs. Michael Michlin,
Sol Selman, David Sislin, Wolf
Snyder, Mordecai Teiler, and
George M. Zeltzer. Sidney M.
Shevitz and Pokempner will
serve ex-officio.
The Yiddish culture sub-com-
mittee, whose members include
representatives of the Farband
Labor Zionist Order, Sholem
Aleichem Institute, Workmen's
Circle, Landsmanschaften, and
educational groups, will con-
sider possibilities of developing
community-wide Jewish cultur-
al programs as well as pro-

children in Warsaw. In addi-
tion to her appearances in War-
saw, Mrs. Schaver, who was
accompanied on her tour by
her husband, Morris Schaver,
prominent Labor Zionist, gave
concerts in Wroczlaw, Lodz and
other communities. She was
widely acclaimed on her tour.
Reviews in Polish newspapers
and in the Yiddish periodical,
Folks Shtimme, referred to her
appearances as "great suc-
cesses" and as means for the
audiences to be witnesses to
demonstrations by the guest
artist of her "love for the Jew-
ish song." The Schavers visited
in Israel before making their
tour of Poland.
