MRS. RONALD PLAVNICK

Linda Susan Gray and Ronald
Julian Plavnick were united in
marriage Aug. 20 at Teinple Is-
rael. Rabbis Fram and Syme of

ficiated.

The newlyweds are the chil-
dren of Dr. and Mrs. Manuel
Robert Gray of Pennington Dr.
and Dr. and Mrs. Herman Play-
nick of Birmingham.
The bride was dressed in a
white lace gown trimmed with a
pink lace bodice. Her train was
of the matching pink lace. She
wore a white lace mantilla and
carried pink and white flowers
to match her gown.
Mrs. Theodore Pines, cousin of
the bride, was matron of honor.
Maids of honor were Joanne
Gray, sister of the bride, and
Lois Plavnick, sister of the bride-
groom. Bridesmaids were Nanci
Bernstein, Mrs. Judith Feldman,
and Annette Kaufman.
The bridegroom's brother, Stu
art Plavnick, was best man.
Ushers were Martin Zide, Morris
Margolies, Marvin Zuchter, Rob-
ert Leebonr, Theodore Pines,
Nate Keller and Irwin Feldman.
Following .a honeymoon in
Florida the couple will reside in
Southfield.

bride's brother, Lincoln Lewis

After a honeymoon in Mexico
City, the newlyweds will reside
in Ann Arbor, where the bride-
groom is a senior at the Univer-
sity of Michigan Medical School
and the bride will complete her
studies.

Find Hebrew Grave
from 8th Century China

LONDON, (JTA) — A Jewish
tombstone dating back to the
eighth century has been discov-
ered in the Chinese People's Re-
public, according to a report in
the Warsaw Folkstimme.
The directorate of the histori-
cal museum in Peking has sent a
copy of the inscription on the
tombstone—which is in Hebrew
—to archaeologists in Israel.

Henry Wartosky---
`Too Young to Quit'—
Retires Today at 69

City employes yesterday gave
a party in honor of Henry War-
tosky, still "much too young to
quit" after 34 years as a Re-
corder's Court deputy.
He retires today, neverthe-
less, from his job as head of
records and files for early ses-
sions. At 69, Wartosky is ,four
years past the normal retire-
ment age, but he has enjoyed
eight six-month extensions. He
says he'll look for another job
when he returns from a Florida
vacation. '
