MISS FRANCES GLICK

The engagerhent has been an-
nounced of Frances Lee Glick,
daughter of Mrs. Sarah Glick of
Greenlawn Ave. and the late Emil
Glick, to Steven John Onderwyzer,
son of Mrs. Lucie Onderwyzer of
Beverly Hills, Calif., and the late
Louis Onderwyzer.

The bride-elect is a student at
Carnegie Institute. Her fiance is
attending Michigan State Univer-
sity. An Aug. 13 wedding is
planned.

Guardian Savings'
Record Pace Growth

From a small beginning a
few years ago, Guardian Savings
haS become one of the fastest
growing savings institutions in
the Detroit area.

tary of Gardian Savings, stated
they recently passed the $15,-
000,000. mark in savings ac-
counts and have the largest
nurnbers of savers in their his-
tory.
Guardian Savings also sent
out more checks to their Christ-
mas Savings Club accounts
than ever before. All regular
savings accounts earn 3 1/2 %
current rate and are insured by
an agency of the United States
Government.
Last Wednesday night the
staff of Guardian Savings were
given a party at the Elmwood
Casino in Windsor to celebrate
their recent successes.

Five members of the family of Dr. Leon Fram were in Detroit
last week to participate in Temple Israel's celebration of the rabbi's
65th birthday. They were Mr. and Mrs. Philip Fram, of Montreal,
Can., Mrs. Nat SilverStein, of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Mr.. and
-Mrs. Milton Albert, - of Baltimore, Md. They were entertained in
Detroit by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Buegeleisen, Mr. and Mrs. Abraham
Caplan, Dr. and Mrs. S. B. Danto, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dickman,
Mr. and Mrs. Saul H. Dunitz, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Feldman, Dr.
and Mrs. Robert Kallman, Mr. and' Mrs. Leslie R. Schmier and
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schreiber.
Mrs. Amelia. M. Spunt, 17400 Third, has returned home from
a cruise to Nassau aboard the SS Yarmouth.
' The Gussin Family Club will hold its Hanukah party Sunday
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Fine, 17219 Dolores, Livonia.
Joan Shwitzer of San Francisco, Calif., will arrive here Dec.
23 to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Shwitzer, 191
