Motorama Ball, the culminating,
affair of a three-month fund rais-
ing effort to support the JWV
Memorial Home and other local,
national and international proj-
ects, will be held Saturday - eve-
ning at Cobo Hall.
Hal Gordon and his orchestra
will provide the music, and prizes
will be awarded, including a 1961
Rambler American, a stereo con-
sole phonograph and a 17-inch
portable television set.
Tickets will be on sale at the
Cobo Hall ticket booth that eve-
ning, according to Michigan De-
partment Commander Gerson
Marder and Ladies Auxiliary
President Mrs. Albert Rosen.
Chairmen of special projects went into action this week to
enroll donors for the annual fund-raising campaign of the Ladies'
Auxiliary of the Jewish National Fund. The drive will culminate
with the annual donor tea at Temple Israel on Jan. 31. In the

Hadassah Gives
'Exodu's' Benefit
Detroit Chapter of Hadassah,
sponsor of a theater benefit
performance of "Exodus" on
Feb. 9 at the Mercury Theater,
has added Mrs. Sol Eisenberg
and Mrs. David Tabashnik to
the patron committee, accord-
ing to Mrs. Nate Schlafer, chair-
man.
Mrs. Julian Tobias, ticket
chairman, advises that all patron
seats will be assigned in order
of response to her, Mrs. Schla-
fer, patron committee members,
Mrs. David Pollack, chairman,
or the Hadassah office.

Bond Campaign Hits

The Metropolitan Detroit Bnai
Brith 1960-61 Israel Bond cam-
paign will be climaxed with
Pisgah's Hanukah Israel festival,
Monday, and the "Big Seven
Combined Gala Israel Night,"
Tuesday, according to Samuel G.
Bank, Metropolitan Detroit Bnai
Brith Council Israel program
chairman.
The Hanukah festival will be
held at the Hayim Greenberg
Center. The guest star will be
Jan Bart.
On Tuesday, the "Big 7" will
stage their "Gala Israel Night"
at the Bnai Moshe Social Hall,

gram of his lodge 8:30 p.m. Mon-
day in the Morris L. Schaver audi-
torium of the Hayim Greenberg
Center.
A plaque will be presented to
Borman for distinguished service
to Pisgah Lodge and Bnai Brith
and for philanthropic contribu-
tions to other causes, including
the State of Israel.
Entertainment will include
tenor Jan Bart, performing star
and a cantor. Also featured will
be the Israeli Trio of instrumental
and vocal artists. All member

JNF Women Report on
Fund-Raising Dec. 20
Mrs. George J. Lerner, pres-
ident of the Ladies' Auxiliary of
the Jewish National Fund, an-
nounces that an open meeting
will be held at 12:30 p.m. next
Tuesday, at the Beth Aaron
Synagogue, Wyoming and
Thatcher, to hear a progress re-
port on the current donor drive.
Mrs. William Levin, donor
chairman, will outline the activi-
ties for the donor event, in behalf
of the American Freedom Forest
in Israel.
A Hanukah program, featuring
the JNF Dramatic Group, will be
presented, under the chairman-
ship of Mrs. Joshua S. Sperka.

to a Yank" campaign will be held

erans in the hospitals throughout

The Christmas Day visit will be
